    April 20th, 2009

The Hoop Factory is proud to announce it’s final roster for the Victor Rho Milan International Basketball Tournament in Milan Italy, April 22nd- 26th.

A team of eleven young men from Ontario will compete in the 17 and under division of the tournament against some of Europe’s best basketball programs. The Tournament features returning champions K.K. Spalato (Croatia) and Real Madrid (Italy). We feel this will be a tremendous opportunity for our student athletes, both on and off the court.

Past tournament participants include current NBA players Gordon Giricek and Marco Belineli, along with countless high-level European professional players. This prestigious tournament is in its 29th year and features some of the best young talent from 10 different Nations

Hoop Factory Elite will represent Canada in the 17U division. Here’s our roster

    1. Duane Alexander Notice G 6’1
    2. Keegan Robert Kennedy Dunlop C 6’10
    3. Nicholas Michael David Lewis PG 6’0
    4. Anthony Harris Bennett G/F 6’6
    5. Kevin Joseph Pangos PG 6’1
    6. Aaron Matthew Best G/F 6’3
    7. Negus Christopher Webster-Chan G/F 6’5
    8. Stefan Jankovic SF 6’8
    9. Jonathan Alexander-Guillaume SF 6’6
    10. Vlad Constantin Velici SF 6’7
    11. Nicholas Joseph Vivian Yantzi F 6’9

This amazing opportunity will give our players exposure to the international style of play against some of Europe’s biggest and most successful clubs, including:

    Virtus Bologan (Italy),
    Pau Orthez (France),
    Armani Milano (Italy),
    K. K. Spalato (Croatia)
    Real Madrid (Spain)

Aside from some great basketball, the team will more importantly get an opportunity to soak up the Italian culture first hand. It will definitely be a great life experience for both our players and coaching staff.
The Hoop Factory will like to thank our wonderful supporters for making this opportunity possible. International basketball thrives with the support of sponsorship and we are very fortunate to have some of the best. Special thanks to Nike Canada, www.BasketballEye.com, Roy Rana (Program Director) and Basketball Ontario for making this amazing trip a possible.

Stay tuned for news, updates, videos, and photos from our trip to Italy.
