gotta say that the ucon comparison is unfair since uconn had george blaney to step in and coach (a man with extensive d1 experience)..these are also d1 players who practice 20 hrs/week and who have been in the tourney every year and understand the urgency needed to play at that level...

not sure why this matters anymore since the jnior season is long done...all they can do is learn from it and move on..hard for the coach from loyola (whom i dont know) to respond when u are attacking decisions that were already made...also confused as to why u have such a vested interest in this unless u r the principal or asst coach or parent..he is not really obligated to answer..im sure that if u were a coach and ppl were attacking a coaching decision u made (even tho u have already explained what happened) u would be taken aback...

Everyone (including people in the crowd) was telling the kid to stop shooting, but for some reason he didn't listen. The guy coaching didn't know the difference, so he didn't do anything about it.

As far as our offensive sets go, I have to agree with you. I don't know how many times I tell the guys what to do during a game and it seems to fall on deaf ears. There are all kinds of screens and back door cuts that were part of our sets - but you've never seen them because during the game they guys never ran them. At any point in time only half the guys knew what to do. This makes it difficult to get any kind of rythm going on offense.

The Sr. coach didn't step in to help because everyone thought that the coach that was supposed to come, would be there. The Sr. coach has offered to help me out in the past (he's a good guy). Everything kind of just happened at the last second and we got caught with our pants down. Your solutions appear obvious, but for whatever reason nobody thought about it at the time.

well, at least you acknowledge your mistakes...

very few junior teams run sets...no junior teams run sets for an entire game...it does not happen..they will revert back to getting their best offensive options the ball and let them go one on one...even vs zone...swing once attack weakside

The guys that could play for Jr. next year are Jaylen Roberts, Jaylen Parkinson Roberts and Jamar Parkinson Roberts. The three of them together would make part of a very decent starting lineup. If they could get a big man that can play, then that would be a handful for anyone to try to beat.
