almost every body who is 6' or taller can dunk
the real question is who are the game dunkers
and dunking is kind of over rated
its basicaly 2 points and a momentem shift

Dunking is way over rated. At the end of the day its only 2 points. Its a nice thing to have in your bag of tricks to get the crowd behind you in a game, but that's about where it ends.

I've coached too many guys that concentrate on nothing but dunking. Meanwhile, they can't shoot or dribble. So exactly how good are you as a basketball player?

There are a million kids that have the hops to dunk - they might be soccer, hockey or volleyball players. Does this mean they can play basketball? There are a million kids that are great atheletes. BUT, there are probably less than 50 kids in the GTA at the Jr. level that KNOW how to play basketball.

Forget about dunking. Give me that 10 foot jumper on a consistent basis and you'll start on my team and on most other teams - any day!

Kelvin Muamba from Mount Carmel is in gr 10 , but plays on the senior team and can dunk. He is about 5' 10 maybe an inch taller or shorter.

dunking is not overrated, if u can dunk you should do it every time because thats a forsue 2 points, in stead of going soft. its not just for show
