    The unofficial start to the high school boys' basketball season is the annual Nike Early Bird Classic at Fr Henry Carr Catholic School.  The 2015 Nike Early Bird Classic takes place November 5-7, 2015 in the Fr Ted McLean Gymnasium, the home of the Crusaders.

    It is with great pleasure that we release the field:

    o   Father Henry Carr Crusaders (TDCAA) - 2015 OFSAA 'AAAA' Copper Medalists
    o   Blessed Mother Teresa Titans (TDCAA)  
    o   Cardinal Newman Cardinals (GHAC)
    o   Central Tech Blues (TDSSAA)
    o   Holy Trinity Titans (GHAC)
    o Jean Vanier Mavericks (TDCAA) have replaced St Anne Saints
    o   Sir Allan MacNabb Lions (Hamilton Public)
    o   St Edmund Campion Bears (ROPSAA) - 2015 OFSAA 'AAAA' Silver Medalists
    o   St Michaels Blue Raiders (CISAA) - 2015 OFSAA 'AAAA' Champions
    o   Ste Marguerite d’Youville Panthers (ROPSAA) - 2015 OFSAA 'AAAA' Participant
    o   Thornlea Thunder (YRAA)
    o   Vaughan Voyageurs (YRAA) - 2015 OFSAA 'AAAA' Participant

    This event has proven to stand the test of time.  It continues to attract the best high school teams in the GTA and southern Ontario and as a result, the games are intense, well played and exciting!!

    Henry Carr Basketball has helped develop some of Canada's brightest stars including Tyler Ennis (Syracuse, Milwaukee Bucks), Sim Bhullar (New Mexico State, Sacramento Kings), Dillon Brooks (University of Oregon), Jalen Poyser (UNLV) & Tanveer Bhullar (New Mexico State) just to name a few.  With a well rounded athletic program, hundreds of Crusaders are competing in post-secondary basketball, football and track & field.  GO CRUSADERS GO!!!
